If taking a Disney Cruise this September 2022, and staying at a WDW Resort prior to the cruise, will there be any testing locations available for the required negative covid test prior to our cruise at a Disney Resort or WDW location?

Ahoy there Trisha! Welcome aboard planDisney!

I'm so excited that you are planning to embark on an incredible adventure with your crew! My family is planning a Disney Cruise Line vacation this September, too! It's our second favorite time to sail aside from January!

But enough about me, let's talk about you!

Starting vacation with a stay at Walt Disney World Resort beforehand? That transforms the "Three Vacations in One" of a Disney Cruise into four-in-one - which is such a great way to build even MORE value and MAGIC into your plans! I'm going to go ahead and give that the planDrew seal of approval!

Speaking of approval, it sure has been a whirlwind of activity out there on the horizon for Disney Cruise Line vacations, hasn't it? Navigating the way through all the uncertainty of the last few years and now on the cusp of launching a new ship, the changes are everywhere! With so many changes happening - especially recently - I think it's great you're already thinking of how best to plan for your September sailing!

Whenever I have a question about recent changes, I always suggest checking the latest "Know Before You Go" information, as it's always direct from the source! The most recent changes about pre-arrival testing procedures and protocol were updated on May 17, 2022, so they're hot off the presses!

I can tell by your question that you're already aware of the new testing requirements! As of this writing, only the testing locations outlined by Disney Cruise Line are available for those Guests unable to complete mail-in testing previously purchased through Safe Passage. With something as important as complying with requirements to sail, Trisha, I'd pay particular attention to the "Before Leaving Home" section of this updated info to best determine a plan for testing!

Operating on only the information we have as of this writing, if it were me and I had your same plans, I would likely purchase the observed antigen tests, and plan on taking those as part of a break from the parks on the Walt Disney World Resort leg of vacation! From what I can tell, it gives you the most control over when and where you test, and the submission requirements, but I know one thing's for sure: I'll be checking for updates all the way up to the day I start my family's Online Check-In process for the requirements that are in place at that time!

I WISH I had more information to share with you and all us Guests, Trisha, but for now that's all the wind I've got in my sails! Thank you so much for your question, and since we're used to seeing things change like the tides, you know where to find me at planDisney if you come up with any others!

Until then, fair winds, following seas and - the only time I say this - "negative" thoughts for your pre-arrival testing!
