Ahoy, there Dennis! I'm so glad you set your sails on planDisney and washed up on our shores.
Dennis, I'll be sailing this September on
Disney Cruise Line as well and in fact, it is because I booked a placeholder on our last trip. I also needed to add an additional room to our booking, so I appreciate this question.
A placeholder can be booked for the number of rooms that are under your reservation when you book. So, for example, last year aboard the
Disney Wonder, my family (of four) and I were all in one room. We were
not able to book a second placeholder room as on that trip we were all together. Fast forward to September and we have a grandparent traveling with us, but he is not eligible for the placeholder discount as he was not on the original cruise. We were, however, able to separately book a second room and link our two reservations together.
Dennis, I hope this helps as you are planning for two Magical journeys at sea. If you have any additional questions, just point that compass to planDisney and grab your paddles because we'll be waiting in the waters for you.
Bon Voyage!
Lauren
