We are taking a direct flight from Montreal to MCO. We will go through US customs in before departure, saving us the trouble at arrival. I want to confirm that we will be able to use the luggage tags since we don't need to go through customs at MCO.

Hi, Mathieu! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Having traveled directly from Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal to Orlando in the past, I can confirm with certainty that you can use the yellow tags given by Disney’s Magical Express and not have to gather your luggage upon arrival as they will be magically whisked away and placed in your Disney Resort hotel room soon after your arrival! This is only possible when clearing customs ahead of time, and as you said Trudeau International Airport in Montreal does indeed offer this pre-clearing service. Something to be aware of is that you can only use the magical yellow tags with flights arriving between 5 am and 10 pm. If your flight doesn’t fall between those hours, you must collect your own luggage. As it takes a few hours for your luggage to arrive, remember to pack everything you need for your day in a carry-on or a backpack.

Another international tip is that your MagicBands will not be mailed out to you in advance, so it is important to have documentation sent you in in advance to be able to board Disney’s Magical Express. If ever you forgot this information, and again, I speak from experience, a friendly Cast Member can help you at the Disney’s Magical Express Counter at the Orlando International Airport.

I hope this answers your question and helps you with the planning of your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Thanks for visiting us and come again soon!
