Taking DD for a surprise 8th birthday trip the 2nd weekend of March. We went in August 2012 - will crowds be similar? I keep reading that crowds will be very busy during March. We will likely spend all of our time at MK but have only 3 full days. Thanks!

    Hi Kelsey,

How exciting!  Happy Birthday to your daughter.  Eight is such a fun age.  I have to admit that March is right in the middle of peak season at Walt Disney World.  Spring break will be occurring all over the country and Disney Parks are a beloved destination.

My best advice to you is have a plan of where you want to go each day and choose 3-5 must do activities or rides and focus on those.  If you try too hard to get to everything, you will set yourself up for disappointment and not be able to enjoy this magical time you have planned to spend with your daughter. If you stick to a plan and get to those with time to spare...voila, icing on the cake!  Go enjoy and explore even more in the parks you didn't expect to get to.

Make sure to ask for a birthday button upon check-in and make sure she wears it proudly throughout your time there (not just on her birthday).  You will be amazed at the attention she will get from the Cast Members!  Sometimes those unplanned spontaneous moments create the most lasting memories to cherish for years to come.

I hope this eases your mind a bit and feel free to come ask me more questions!  May her birthday be filled with all her wishes coming true!
