Taking my DD 1 on her first trip to the world in January. We have dinner reservations at 5:10 at Chef Mickeys. Will we have enough time to get to Fort Wilderness for the campfire and if so what is the fastest way tp get there from the Contemporary?

Hi Tiffany!  Congratulations on your Chef Mickey reservation as that is a highly sought after spot!

Your 5:10 time spot should work for your evening of fun but the Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong times change during the different seasons primarily due to it getting darker earlier.  To get the latest update on the exact time as it gets closer  please feel free to call the Fort Wilderness resort number at 407-824-2900. Generally in the fall and winter months this will begin around 7/7:30pm.

The fires will be lit first so you can roast your marshmallows and enjoy some s'mores!  Kits for this can be purchased there so you won't need to bring a thing. Then the entertainment begins starring Chip and Dale and live music followed by a nightly movie.

It is very easy to reach Fort Wilderness from the Contemporary resort.  Head to the end of the marina dock where there will be signs showing the correct boat that will take you to the Fort area.  These boats run on the same type schedule as the Disney busses so you might have to wait up to 15-20 minutes if you have just missed the last one.

    Have a wonderful evening!
