Taking DD for breakfast at the castle and enjoy going down main street before the park opens. Her birthday is 12/3 so we are looking at Sat. 11/30(Thanksgiving weekend) or Sat. 12/7. Nervous about possible Christmas parade taping on 12/7?

    Hi Kate,

Whichever day you choose, I'm sure your daughter will have a wonderful celebration with Cinderella and her friends at Cinderella's Royal Table.

I wouldn't worry too much about interference from the parade, which does normally tape during that first weekend in December. We have been there a number of times when it is going on (my husband's birthday is near your daughter's) and haven't found it too much of a disruption.

There may be a temporary reviewing stand or a few obstacles on Main Street to assist the video crews, and it likely will be more congested there as the day goes on and the parade rolls down Main Street for the cameras.

However, you should still be good to get in for an early reservation and get unobstructed photos in front of the castle. If you opt for the previous Saturday, you also will have the benefit of the Christmas decorations in the background. Because it is Thanksgiving week, crowds may be heavier on Nov. 30 than on Dec. 7, even if the parade taping takes place that day.

I hope that helps. Wishing your daughter a great birthday and a terrific year!
