Taking a day off from parks and relaxing at POR pools and taking the boat to DD. Just want a relaxing day with friends and family. Kids ages 2-11. What is there to do that doesn't cost a lot? how much is the potato head? legos? haven't heard much

    Hi Mandi!
Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite "moderate" resort on Disney property! And spending the day at Ol' Man Island pool complex is a great way to recharge tired legs after days of park touring. I think you will enjoy the 20 minute cruise down the Sassagoula River to Downtown Disney. Once there, you and the kids can check out activities like the Characters in Flight balloon ride, DisneyQuest or the newly opened Splitsville bowling complex. If none of these activities fits the budget, you can simply browse the many shops and enjoy the various acts that perform lakeside from time to time. Be sure to check out the Downtown Disney Guide to see what may be going on.
As for the Mr. Potato Head, he can only be had at "Once Upon A Toy" toy store. There are two varieties and they used to be about $44.95 for the larger one and $19.95 for the smaller one (prices may have changed since I was there). Each comes with a variety of cool accessories that the kids can choose. I'm not sure about the Legos, as there is not just one set price, but the kids will definitely enjoy the newly refurbished Lego Store as well as its incredible creations.
I hope this helps a bit and I wish you all a Magical vacation!! :)
