Hello! We're taking our 2 daughters (3yr & 9mos) to Disney World in May. We'd like to visit a water park during our trip. Which water park would you recommend? And any tips for us with the baby and toddler? Thank you!

    Hi Kelly!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

I recommend going to Typhoon Lagoon.  Both water parks are very nice and both have their fans.  Both have great children's areas.  In fact, some guests believe that the children's area for Blizzard Beach is better for young children than the children's area for Typhoon Lagoon.  While that might be true, the reason I recommend Typhoon Lagoon is it has a lot more shade.  It has significantly more shade due to its theming.  That will come in handy in May, especially as you try to keep the baby out of the sun.

The biggest tip is to get to the water park early.  That way you can stake out a nice shaded area to be "home base" while you are there.  I suggest picking something right at the children's area.  If you get there early you can find some chairs right underneath a cover, like an open pavilion or tent.

The other tip is if you can't get there early, go there late in the day.  That's because a lot of guests who got there first thing in the morning will be ready to leave.  Also, a good time to go to the water parks is right after a major thunder storm has rolled through since a lot of guests will usually leave then.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
