HI Jennifer,
A trip with your daughters to Walt Disney World for Thanksgiving sound like so much fun!
Thanksgiving week will be a crowded week at Walt Disney World. Anytime that children are out of school, Walt Disney World gets busier. For crowd level predictions, I like to visit the unofficial site touringplans.com. All four theme parks are likely to be very crowded on Thanksgiving Day. If I was going to pick one to visit, I would choose Epcot. It may be slightly less crowded than the others. More than that, Epcot holds crowds really well. There can be many people there and it still seems less crowded due to the wide open walkways and massive amounts of space.
Let me offer a couple of recommendations for you to make your Thanksgiving Day, and all of your vacation, more enjoyable as you navigate the crowds. First, make Advance Dining Reservations for any dining that you would like to do. This way you won't be disappointed if a restaurant that you want to eat at is full. You can make dining reservations by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) or online at the
Disney Dining site. Also, try to arrive at the theme parks early. I like to be there about 30 minutes before the park officially opens. It is amazing how much you can do and see in the first few hours of the day when the parks are less crowded. My family and I will do arrive early and spend the morning touring the theme park, have a late lunch, and then head back to our resort to relax.
I hope that you and your daughters have a wonderful holiday vacation, Jennifer. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
