I am taking my daughters to WDW in early December and we plan to stay at a Disney resort. I was wonderinga about the Castle Dream Lights show do you have to have a seperate ticket to see that, and if so if you can see it during extra magic hours. Thanks

Our family has found early December to be a delightful time to visit Walt Disney World. The parks and resorts are all decked out in their finest holiday décor.

I was fortunate to see the castle lights at WDW (and Disneyland) this past holiday season. Cinderella’s Castle dazzles with these holiday lights. It really looks like it is glistening with beautiful icicles. Best of all, the Castle Dream Lights show is included in your regular park admission.

You’ll need to be in front of the Castle forecourt stage to see Mickey and Minnie in their holiday attire. Goofy and Donald join them to wish everyone a happy holiday. It’ll be near dusk when Mickey says “there’s nothing like being at the Magic Kingdom for the holidays”.  Donald and Goofy discuss how to decorate the castle for the season until the Fairy Godmother appears to see what all the fuss is about. Cinderella (along with her Prince Charming), Minnie and the Fairy Godmother take on the challenge to figure out how to decorate the castle. The lighting of the castle is quite magnificent and not to be missed.

The Castle Dreams Light Show appeared nightly at approximately 5:45 p.m. This December check your Magic Kingdom Times Guide for the current schedule during your stay. I hope you and your daughters are simply amazed!
