Hi, We are taking our daughters to DW for the first time this up coming October. During our stay it will be our oldest 9th birthday, the last day we are at the parks. What should I and can I do to make this birthday more memorable?Staying at a DResort

Hi Jacalyn!  To start, you'll want to make sure you note this special celebration on your resort reservation.  Upon check-in, your daughter should receive a "Happy Birthday" button (if not, you can certainly ask for one).  Make sure she wears her button proudly throughout her special day so everyone can wish her a Happy Birthday!

You may also want to consider reserving a special dining reservation to help with your celebration.  Be sure to note her birthday when making the reservation.  You can make reservations online here or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  Upon check-in at most table service restaurants, you can also request a standard 6" birthday cake for an additional cost.  If you'd like something more fun, you can call the Cake Hotline (407-827-2253) at least 48 hours in advance.  I've ordered a couple of Chip 'N Dale themed cakes in the past and they are adorable!

You can review some of the other birthday products that are available on this page.  The Disney Florist is also a good place to check out if you'd like a special surprised delivered to your room.

I hope your daughter's birthday is truly magical!  Diane
