We are taking our 2 daughters, ages 8 and 6, to WDW for the 1st time. We have 3 days. How should we plan our time? We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge.

Hi Jana. I absolutely loved staying at the Wilderness Lodge with my family! It truly is a nature-lover's paradise and a quiet oasis in the middle of all that Disney excitement!

With two little girls in tow, I would definitely recommend you find the time to schedule at least one character meal. If they enjoy the Disney Princesses, then you'll want to consider fitting in some extra face time with them and dining with royalty is the perfect way to ensure plenty of photographs and happily-ever-after memories! Just be sure to book in advance either online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

Next, since you've mentioned this is your FIRST visit to Walt Disney World and that it's for a fairly short period of time, I'd suggest you hop the free boat transportation available at your resort hotel to Magic Kingdom Park as much as possible! Your daughters will delight in all of the attractions but, especially those offered in Fantasyland. And with the new expansion to this area of the park, there's even more to see and do!

Lastly, don't underestimate the need for naps or some swim time during the day. Some of the most exciting experiences for children occur after they re-enter the parks at night to find everything all aglow. And with the added energy from a midday break, the entire family is certain to enjoy every magical moment together!

Wishing you a pixie-dusted FIRST trip to Disney! Please feel free to send more questions my way in the days leading up to your visit!
