HI! I will be taking my daughter to WDW for her 1st time in April. I was wondering about the dinning plan. If I select a dining plan are there only certain items that I can order from a participating restaurants menu?

    Hi Sandra,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Your daughter must be so excited for her first visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I am positive you will make many magical memories together!  With the Disney Dining Plan, guests are able to select one entree, dessert and non alcoholic beverage of your choice from the menu at Dining Locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort.  Guests are free to choose any item provided it is included on your plan (for example, appetizers are not included on the Disney Dining Plan).  If you would like to order an appetizer, specialty beverage or any extra items, guests will be required to pay the difference at the end of their meal.

If you haven't already, I would recommend making Advanced Dining Reservations as soon as possible if you are planning on dining at any Table Service Locations during your vacation.  These locations are very popular and may be booked if you do not have a reservation.  Advanced Dining Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance online or by calling (407) 939-1947.

I hope you have a wonderful first experience with your daughter at Walt Disney World Resort Sandra.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would love to hear from you again!
