We are taking our daughter who is 8 to WDW for the first time in Dec. We live in CA. and visit Disneyland often(APs). Our first full day, I planned MK in the daytime and then want to head to Epcot for Illum. Do you think this is too much for one day?

Hi Mary - I hope you love your first trip to Walt Disney World!  Are you the type of family that enjoys spending most of the day in the parks?  My family is, and I think your plan for the first day would be absolutely fine.

If, however, you enjoy a more leisurely visit, then you may be overwhelmed with visiting the Magic Kingdom all day and Epcot in the evening.

Either way, consider breaking up the day with a table service dining reservation, so you can sit and relax for a little while.

    Have a great vacation!
