We are taking our daughter to WDW for her 6th birthday on 12/16. We currently have reservations on the Swan for 7pm but that means we would miss the Christmas Show at Hollywood Studios. She has the boutique at 4:30 @ MK. Any other suggestions?

    Hello again, Darci!

We've found ourselves in similar situations while touring Walt Disney World--so glad you asked!

First, if you'd like to enjoy one leisurely Table-Service meal to celebrate your daughter's special day, consider making a reservation for a late lunch. By dining prior to your princess's makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, you'll all be energized for more fun later. After your Fairy Godmother-in-Training transforms your birthday girl into her more regal state, you'll be free to head into Disney's Hollywood Studios to catch that day's 7:45 showing of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!; what a spectacular way to cap off a birthday celebration!

Another option could be to see if BBB in Magic Kingdom or if BBB at Disney Springs has an earlier opening. A morning makeover might give you more room in your afternoon/evening schedule. An early dinner at Walt Disney World Swan Hotel would enable you to walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios (about 10-15 minutes) or, if you'd rather, take the complimentary Friendship Boat (about 25 minutes) between the two locations.

Finally, a switch to a celebratory birthday breakfast instead of a late dinner will also free up your evening for a visit to Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Should you change plans to include any earlier dining option as your big meal for the day, you can grab a delicious Quick-Serve dinner at Disney's BoardWalk or in the park.

Send more questions as you plan the big day! We love sprinkling pixie dust!
