Hi Dana,
Congratulations on winning the Mom-Of-The-Year award! My family and I have celebrated many birthdays at the Most Magical Place on Earth, but celebrating a 16th birthday at Walt Disney World has got to be one of the best!
Fist, I just want you to know that you have already made her 16th birthday very special for her by taking her for her first Walt Disney World visit for her birthday. Everything else will just be the sprinkles on top, I guarantee!
Seeing as you only have a day or two left before your vacation, let's think of some things you can accomplish quickly before your trip or while on vacation itself. The first thing is to make sure you stop by your Resort hotel lobby desk, or at Guest Services at any theme park or Disney Springs, to pick up a "Happy Birthday Button". Have her wear it everyday on the vacation and be prepared for how many birthday wishes she gets! Next, if you have any
Disney Dining Reservations be sure to call and ask for your birthday celebration to be noted on your reservation. Additionally make sure you tell your server that you are celebrating your daughter's birthday when they come to take your order ~ you never know what Magical surprise may happen!
Another way to celebrate is to
Order a Specialty Cake in celebration of her birthday. If you are not planning on dining in any of the restaurants where this is available, you can order one to be picked up at
Amorette's Patisserie in Disney Springs.
Another idea is to purchase a "Happy Birthday" hat or Mickey ears for her to wear each day in the parks. Although you don't have time to order one before your trip, you will find some similar ones in the theme parks like this

You would be surprised how a few streamers, balloons, and a birthday banner transform your Disney Resort hotel room into party central. You could even decorate the room while you send her out to pick up something to drink or eat so that she is surprised when she returns!
Dana, have a Magical vacation with your Princess! I am sure you and your daughter will always remember this vacation as one of the best days of your life.
