We're taking our daughter, then-20mo, to WDW for the first time, meeting friends with a then-9mo little boy! What are the best dining experiences for a group of this size (6 total), specifically with children at these ages? Running PrincessHalf!

    Hi, there!

Caitlin, I'm so happy to hear you're planning your daughter's first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Your heart is sure to melt when you see her experience the magic in the theme parks!

As a mom of three, I know dining out with little ones in tow can be stress-inducing. For that reason, I try to book lots of entertaining dining experiences for our Disney vacations. If my kiddos are entertained during meal time, I know we'll all have an enjoyable experience!

I always recommend families traveling with little ones book at least one Character Dining Experience during their stay. These meals are perfect for Guests of all ages because they offer delicious food AND the fabulous company of beloved Disney Characters! I know my trio will eat well at a Character Dining Experience because kid-friendly fare is always available, and I know they'll be entertained with the playful environment. A few of my family's favorites include Chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine, The Crystal Palace, and Tusker House Restaurant

My family's absolute favorite dining location at the Walt Disney World Resort is Sanaa. Located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, this unique restaurant offers incredible views of the Sunset Savanna. My kids love being able to spot their favorite African animals from our table! If one of them begins to get restless while we wait for our meal to arrive, we simply whisk them out to the nearby overlook for an up-close view and some fresh air!

Coral Reef Restaurant is another entertaining dining option for little ones. Who wouldn't love panoramic views of The Seas, a massive 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium?

I hope this was helpful, Caitlin. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your daughter's first Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
