Taking daughter for first Disney trip ALONE without her siblings, for her 7th birthday. We will be in the park on feb 22, 2026 and wondering what reservations we should make that she’d be interested in.

Hiya pal! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to send us your question!

There's something so special about celebrating a birthday at The Happiest Place on Earth, and a solo mother-daughter visit will be even more magical! Let's talk about some things you can do to make this the best birthday ever for your princess! First, I would have your daughter make a list of her must-dos for your visit at the Disneyland Resort. This will help you ensure that she gets to do the things she is excited to do. Once you have a list of attractions, entertainment, and character experiences she's wishing for, I recommend using that as a guide to build your itinerary. Disneyland's 70th Anniversary Guide is a great tool for planning your visit too!

If your daughter loves princesses, you could make a reservation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. This royal experience is full of pampering and will have your daughter feeling like she has stepped into a fairytale of her own. For other reservations, I suggest making some special dining plans to celebrate her 7th birthday. At Disneyland Park, Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn is an amazing way to start the day! Not only do you get to see Minnie Mouse, but she has many friends for you to meet as well, and you get to have an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal complete with Minnie waffles! You can make Advanced Dining Reservations up to 60 days before the date you wish to dine. You can also note that you're celebrating a birthday when checking in for dining reservations.

Another fun way to celebrate her birthday is to let her do a little shopping on her special day. I like to purchase Disney Gift Cards in advance to make souvenir shopping a little more fun. Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button when you first arrive. You can find one inside at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park, at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park, or at many of the shops, such as the Emporium

I'm wishing you a wonderful visit with your daughter, and hope you have so much fun creating magical memories! If you have more questions before you arrive, please feel free to send them to us at planDisney. We're excited for you to celebrate with us, and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
