Welcome to planDisney, Rose!
How exciting that you'll be traveling to the Disneyland Resort for the first time in... well, forever! It is truly The Happiest Place on Earth for people of all ages. Your little princess is going to have a magical time. Just wait until she catches that first glimpse of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Did you know that you can even
go inside and relive scenes from Sleeping Beauty? And since you'll be in
Fantasyland, your little Mousketeer will absolutely love classic attractions like Peter's Pan's Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mad Tea Party, and "it's a small world." However, maybe think twice before you take her on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. My son was a little terrified of that ride!
Rose, since your daughter is under three years old, she is considered a "Guest of Mickey" and therefore does not require a theme park ticket. Since she won't have a ticket, she won't need a
theme park reservation either. Disney does not require proof of her age.
Similarly, if you purchase
Disney Genie+ (which I heartily recommend), she'll be able to join you on any attractions that you make Lightning Lane selections for.
If you make dining reservations, you will want to include her in the Guest count. This ensures that the Cast Members get you the right-sized table.
I hope that's helpful, Rose. This is such an exciting age to bring your daughter to Disneyland. She'll be in awe of the Disney characters. One of my most precious memories is of my son holding Mickey Mouse's hand. My son's face lit up like the sun! I've never seen him look so happy.
I'm sure your daughter will have similar experiences. Make sure you take plenty of photos!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Rose!
