I will be taking my daughter and a couple of friends on their Graduation Senior Trip in Late May. I am looking for something special to do with them to make this trip truly memorable. Any suggestions of things going on at that time.

  • Greetings, Jaime! What an awesome trip you have ahead of you! I fondly remember my senior trip to Walt Disney World Resort; it was a physics class-based experience where we explored concepts of mechanics (the various animatronics), mechanical properties of matter (holding water cups on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad), thermal properties of matter (IllumiNations Fireworks), light and sound. As you may know, Imagineers use these principles all over the parks, so the inclusion of Disneyana to my routine physics class was enough to make me dizzy with excitement.

One of my favorite moments from the trip was our class gathering around World Showcase Lagoon and watching the Tapestry of Nations Parade, followed by IllumiNations fireworks at night. Our teacher purchased copies of these soundtracks as graduations presents for us, and that certainly helped to cement those memories over the past many years (I’m not giving away my age!). I still listen to them today and treasure the memories. Perhaps a Wishes, Happily Ever After, IllumiNations or even a theme park soundtrack are in order? What better way to recall your fun times than to re-live them with your ears for years to come?

I hope your daughter and her friends (as well as you) have a practically perfect trip in every way. In fact, I hope it’s Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! ~ Lindsey P.
