We are taking our daughter for her birthday and her first visit to Disney World soon. We are new to pin trading. Can pins from one location (like Disneyland) be traded at another location (Linked In Disney World)? Thanks!

Hello Gretchen!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  Pin trading is one of my daughter's favorite things to do while we are on vacation at Walt Disney World.  I have to admit, I love it too.  Seeing her face light up with excitement and getting to chat with different Cast Members is a lot of fun.

Pins from Disneyland can be traded at Walt Disney World as long as it has the copyright symbol with the word Disney on the back. Here is a great article about pin trading etiquette that you might want to read before your vacation.  All Cast Members wearing lanyards will trade and Cast Members wearing green lanyards will only trade with children.  My daughter likes to pin trade with everyone, so she doesn't collect specific pins - just whatever catches her eye but it might be fun for your daughter to start thinking about what she would like to look for while pin trading.  Some people love the Hidden Mickey pins, some love the Duffy pins and others only look for princesses.  I'm sure whatever she trades for, she will love!

I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday at Walt Disney World and a great time pin trading.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
