Hi, We are taking our daughter age 6 to the magic kingdom for the first time in Dec. We are concerned about the lines as she has cerebral palsy - not wheelchair bound. Do you have any advice?

    Hi Scott!

I'm so excited for you guys!  Her first time in Magic Kingdom around the holidays?  You couldn't have picked a more magical time for her!

Disney is amazing at trying to accommodate their Guests, especially those who have special medical needs.  When you get to the park please go to Guest Services and ask for a Guest Assistance Card (GAC).  Many times it will bring you to a special entrance at an attraction and you'll have a minimal wait time to get on.  You do not have to have any type of letter from your doctor.  They'll ask you a few questions.  Basically, what you're going to need in regard to making your daughter comfortable.  They will assist you as best they can.  You only need to do this once as your card will be dated to last for the duration of your trip.  It will also allow up to 5 family members to get on the ride with her.

I hope this helps!  Sending you a ton of pixie dust and wishes that her first trip to Disney is magical!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
