We will be taking a cruise three weeks before my daughter turns 11. Will she be able to attend any of the 11-14 activities with her older sister out will she still have to be in the youth club with her younger sister?

    Hi Kurt -

You've got 3 princesses to keep your hands full and they will have such an awesome time onboard the Disney Cruise ship! They definitely will enjoy the youth clubs and you can have adult time for yourself. This is gonna be a great vacation!

The Oceaneer Club and Lab will be the place to be for the 3-12 year olds. While the Edge caters more to the 11-14 year olds. Since your daughter will be 3 weeks shy of 11, you should try to speak to one of the youth counselors at the Edge to see if she can be allowed to hang out there (hopefully, her older sister will be OK with it). She is so close to being 11 already! When my son was 11, he was able to check out both clubs. But, he actually chose to be at the Oceaneer Club instead... though, I think it had something to do with a friend that he made.

It will be good for your daughter to check out both clubs. If your whole family wants to check out all the youth clubs, there are daily Open Houses. Your family can come and play at any of the clubs, so no one feels left out. It will also be a good time to speak with the Youth Counselors to find out about the activities and other special events that might be happening at each club. Remember to check the Personal Navigator for schedules and activities. It will be delivered to your stateroom each night, so that you can plan for the following day.

For your kids - try not to miss the Youth Club's Ice Breaker sessions on the 1st night. My kids say it's a must do -- they get to meet everyone all at the same time and it surely helps with the awkwardness in the teen/pre-teen area.

I hope this helps, Kurt. Come visit us again if you have any additional questions.
