Welcome to planDisney, Sasha and thanks for sailing on over with your question!
Sasha, how exciting that your Magical cruise is getting so close! I hope your excitement is building and you're ready to salute Captain Mickey (or Minnie)! That first day stepping aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship is so Magical. And... Sasha, the first thing my family does is head for snacks and drinks, so let's talk about purchases made at the pool bars,
lounges and nightclubs.
All purchases made aboard the ship, including beverages, will be charged to your stateroom. I found that the most convenient part about this was that I only ever needed to have my Key to the World card (room key) with me. Now, it might be helpful for you to know that you can continuously pay on your account. Depending on the length of your cruise, the debit or credit card on file will be charged at the following intervals (please reminder, prices are subject to change):
For a cruise lasting 2-5 nights, your card will be charged when your spending hits $300.
For a cruise lasting 6-9 nights, your card will be charged when your spending hits $500.
For a cruise lasting 10 nights or more, your card will be charged when your spending hits $700.
*Otherwise, your card will be charged at the end of your trip.
However, you can visit
the Guest Services Desk and pay on your account with cash, a different credit card, or my family's favorite: a Disney Gift Card. This may help if you're traveling with friends or family and each taking turns to pay for drinks. You can always charge a few specialty cocktails by the pool and then head down to Guest Services later in the day to put some cash on your account.
Sasha, I hope this helps as you're thinking ahead and looking toward March. Wishing you a truly Magical voyage. If you have any other questions, make sure to come on back to planDisney where we all are happy to serve.
Lauren
