I am taking a Cruise on 18-22 january 2027 and would like to stay at a Disney property the night before that I can take the Disney Bus from. Which properties offer a pickup?

Ahoy there, Elizabeth! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sailing this question in to us.

My favorite thing to do is book a stay before (and sometimes after as well!) at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel before a Disney Cruise Line sail! It starts the fun off right and taking Disney Transportation in the morning makes getting to the Port extra special on embarkation day!

I am not sure which Port you are sailing from. I took a look at the schedule and there are sailings from both Port Canaveral, and Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), so I will cover both! Let’s AquaDuck slide our way to your answers!

Disney Transportation to Port Canaveral picks up from any Disney owned and operated resort hotel at Walt Disney World. This includes Value, Moderate, and Deluxe properties. The Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve are not directly serviced by Disney Cruise Line transportation, but Guests staying there can choose to walk to Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Yacht Club, or Beach Club to catch the pickup. The current cost is $45 per guest, each way, whether you are heading to the port or returning from your cruise. When I sailed on the Disney Wish last April, it was incredibly easy to hop on the bus at the front of the hotel and be whisked away to the port. One perk I love is that when you use Disney Transportation, your Port Arrival Time (PAT) is assigned through their system. It is usually a lower boarding group number, which means you get to start the magic a little sooner. You can easily add transportation to your reservation by calling Disney Cruise Line and speaking with a helpful Cast Member.

If you are heading to Fort Lauderdale, the process works a little differently. My planDisney pal Susan recently answered a question about that in great detail, so her advice is worth checking out.

Elizabeth, no matter which Port you sail from, I hope your vacation is practically perfect in every way. Enjoy your stay at the Most Magical Place on Earth, and may your journey bring smooth sailing and plenty of fun.

    Bon Voyage!
