Ahoy, Diane!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Have you started a countdown to your cruise yet? The
Disney Wonder is my favorite ship in the Disney fleet, and I’m looking forward to setting sail on her in February from New Orleans. Can’t wait to hEAR how yours out of
Galveston turns out.
My family includes two teenagers, so naturally we are charging a lot of devices! Although ideally I would prefer to unplug, relax, and not even TOUCH my phone during a cruise.
CURRENTly (my attempt at an electricity pun), USB chargers are absolutely allowed and frankly needed to make sure everyone has charging capability while sailing the high seas. Fortunately, during its drydock, the Disney Wonder added USB ports (3.1 amps) to the stateroom outlet. But it wouldn’t hurt to bring USB ports from home as well (so long as yours does not exceed 110V which is the maximum capability of the outlets). You are correct that power strips are on the list of
Prohibited Items, so I'd leave those at home.
Policies for these types of devices are subject to change, so be sure to check with Disney Cruise Line prior to your sailing before you board just to double check it has not been modified.
Cruise back by with any additional questions. Have a WONDERful cruise!
