We will be taking our 1st cruise on the Dream on 4/21/11... my daughter's bday. We're all so excited! Will DCL do anything special to acknowledge her big day or is there something I can request in advance-- & @ what cost? Cruise itself is quite a splu

    Hi, Tracy!

Congratulations on your first cruise, and it's aboard the Disney Dream? Wow! You will be "cruise spoiled" for sure! She is a spectacular ship, and her cast and crew are in the business of pampering her guests.

On your reservation, you're going to want to make note of your daughter's special day in the Special Requests section of Customizing Your Cruise (Planning Center). Then, when you arrive, make sure everyone is reminded -- your servers, stateroom host/hostess, counselors in the youth clubs. They will all make a fuss over her, and you'll want to keep your camera with you at all times to capture her joy (or embarrassment). More than likely, your servers will bring a cake out after dinner to acknowledge your princess' birthday and sing to her.

For your personal celebration, there are many items you can request in advance to make her day more special.  Go to the Gifts & Amenities page of the Planning Center to choose from an assortment of flower arrangements, gifts and celebration packages.

I hope this helps you plan and gives you some ideas. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
