Ahoy there, Maegen! Welcome aboard planDisney! No need to
Wonder about this question anymore, because we are about to sail straight into your answer.
The
Disney Wonder will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first Disney ship I ever sailed on, and it completely hooked me on
Disney Cruise Line. I am also a huge fan of the Express Walk Off option. Even though it is never fun to say “sea” you later, it is nice to head straight to your next adventure without waiting around.
If you choose Express Walk Off, keep your luggage inside your stateroom instead of placing it in the hallway the night before. Since this option does not include luggage assistance, you will take everything with you when you leave the ship. Guests who use Express Walk Off are encouraged to be ready as early as 7:00 a.m. and to listen for announcements that the ship has been cleared. This usually happens between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., though it depends on local authorities. Once you hear the announcement, you can grab your bags and head ashore. Be sure everyone keeps their Key to the World card handy because it will be scanned one final time as you exit.
Maegen, your sailing will include
Rotational Dining, which is one of my favorite Disney Cruise Line traditions. You move from restaurant to restaurant, but your wonderful wait staff stays with you. On the Wonder, my top pick is
Animator's Palate. Watching the artwork come to life during dinner feels like stepping right into the magic.
You will also find three fantastic Broadway style shows on the Wonder: Frozen, A Musical Spectacular, Disney Dreams - An Enchanted Classic, and the crowd pleasing Golden Mickeys awards.
And since I always love to share a bonus tip, here is one more. If you are hoping to melt away your worries at sea, consider getting a Rainforest Room pass at
Senses Spa and Salon. With this pass, you can enjoy the spa amenities without booking a treatment. Inside the Rainforest Room you will find an open steam room with a beautiful fountain, heated tile loungers perfect for relaxing with a book, two aromatherapy steam rooms, a sauna, and refreshing showers with different water settings that feel absolutely amazing. I love the Senses Spa so much that when we remodeled our bathroom, my husband surprised me with a custom Senses Spa sign.
Maegen, I hope your cruise is filled with adventure, relaxation, and the perfect blend of sea and Disney magic. Come back anytime with more questions as you continue to chart your course.
Wishing you smooth seas and a gentle ocean breeze,
Kimberly
