Hello. We are taking the cruise on Disney wish starting on 5days cruise with are grandkids We have three rooms all next to each other. What is the best photo pass package options and how would we book the packy

    Ahoy there, Clay!

Welcome aboard planDisney! A sailing aboard the Disney Wish with your grandkids sounds like the kind of vacation that ends with everyone already asking when the next cruise will be. Between three neighboring staterooms, all the family activities, and the beautiful spaces onboard the Wish, you are definitely going to want plenty of photos to capture the adventure.

With your sailing just around the corner and your activities booking window quickly disappearing over the horizon, my biggest recommendation is to go ahead and pre-purchase the Unlimited Photo Package now under one of the staterooms. Booking before your cruise helps lock in the lower pre-arrival price instead of paying the onboard rate later. If your grandkids’ parents are traveling with you, I’d usually recommend placing the package under their stateroom since many of the family photos will likely center around that group. You can normally find the package under “Onboard Fun” for Day 1 in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.

Now, since you mentioned having three staterooms, this is where things can get a little more tangled than Rapunzel’s hair. My next recommendation would be for one adult from each stateroom to stop by Shutters once onboard, after some lunch and exploring. The Cast Members there are fantastic at explaining the photo package options and helping families figure out the best and most cost-effective setup for their specific travel group.

In many cases, only one photo package is needed if everyone traveling is considered immediate family. Typically, that means parents and children (under 21 years old) assigned across multiple staterooms, although there can sometimes be flexibility depending on guardianship situations. For grandparents, aunts, uncles, or other extended family traveling in separate staterooms, Disney offers an additional photo package at a discounted rate, often around 50% off the onboard price. Since every family setup can be a little different, that’s why I recommend stopping by Shutters once onboard so the Cast Members can look at your reservations directly and help make sure your family gets set up with the best option before all those magical photo opportunities start popping up around the ship.

I hope this helps as your crew gets ready to sail aboard the Wish! It sounds like you’ve got an incredible family vacation ahead filled with plenty of magical memories worth capturing.

Sea ya real soon with warm air, calm seas, and a ship that always feels like home,
