We are taking are children in June for their Birthdays to WDW. We are going to be driving down from VA. My question is should we drive from our hotel (All-star Movies) to the different parks or should we take the bus provided.

    Hi Karen,

If you are looking for convenience, then it might be more convenient to sit back and relax and let Disney do the driving once you are at Walt Disney World.  Many guests never want to see their cars until it is time to drive home again!

However, if you are looking for speed, then with the exception of the Magic Kingdom, it will be much quicker to drive your own car from the resort hotel to the theme parks.  That's based on my personal experience gathered over years.  The Magic Kingdom is possibly an exception because you can't drive to the front gate of the Magic Kingdom.  Instead you drive to the Magic Kingdom parking lot where you get on a tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TT&C).  Once you are at the TT&C, you still have to take a monorail or a ferryboat to reach the Magic Kingdom.  Disney buses, on the other hand, can deliver you right to the front gate.

Since you are staying on property, you will not have to pay for parking at any of the theme parks.

    Have a magical vacation!
