We are taking our children, girl 8 yrs. and boy 4 yrs, for their first ever Disney experience in Aug. Staying at CBR and have delux dining plan. Working on table service reservations and booked early din. @Coral Reef. I've heard mixed reviews. Any insight?

    Hi Kelly,

We've eaten at Coral Reef several times.  My kids love being able to watch the tanks as they eat.  We usually go early and request a table right by them.  (This generally involves waiting a bit longer, but it's worth it!)  The staff hands out "fish cards" that help kids identify and search for a variety of ocean life.  Mine like to make a contest out of who can spot all the fish on the card first.

The children's menu is good (quite typical for many of the menus at table service restaurants), and the "grown-up" menu features seafood (as you can probably guess!)  It's always been fresh, and we've been happy.  My one issue is that the selection for land-lovers is rather limited, so if you don't like seafood, you might not be thrilled with your options.  I did have chicken there once, and I have to say it wasn't my favorite.  You can check out the current menu at the independent website allears.net.  Select "dining" from the home page.

We usually have lunch at Coral Reef while in Epcot (right before or after riding Nemo, since it's in the same pavilion.)

This Moms Panelist gives it a thumbs up!
