Hi Stephanie!
Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disneyland Resort is such a magical place, I just know you and your entire family will have a wonderful vacation!
My youngest son is autistic and we have found a few tips that have helped make his time in the parks packed with fun, but also as stress free as possible. Our first stop once at Disneyland Park is Guest Relations. You can go to City Hall and talk to one of the cast members about the
Disability Access Service. It’s a great resource and you can read all about their accommodations for
autism and cognitive disabilities on the website as well!
I also bring noise canceling headphones because the crowd can be loud and overstimulating. When he gets overwhelmed we find quiet areas of the parks to relax. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, our favorite ride is is The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure. It’s cooler temperature inside and dark and soothing ride make it a perfect place to recharge for the more stimulating rides afterward.
As far as a discount, I’m not aware of any at this time, but you can
call Guest Relations Tickets department to double check.
I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!
See you real soon!
