Hi Sherri!
I always recommend
Chef Mickey's because I just assume everyone loves the classic characters like Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Chef Mickey's is a fun dining experience with a wide array of food options to choose from AND it's a buffet style restaurant. We always choose to do a character meal for dinner because we feel it's a better value for what we eat. I try to get a reservation around 5 or 6pm to give us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves and possible sneak in an activity afterwards like swimming or going back to the Magic Kingdom for a couple of hours.
If your kids are more into Princesses,
Cinderella's Royal Table is perfect! I love seeing all of the little girls at this restaurant because they think it is the best thing in the world to be dining INSIDE a castle! I recommend breakfast here because dinner is pretty pricey, plus you can already be in the park when you start your early morning day at the Magic Kingdom.
You can visit Pooh and Friends at
Crystal Palace. The nice thing about this restaurant is that it is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch here is a good option because its a little less expensive than dinner and you get pretty much the same food choices.
Do your children love Lilo and Stitch? Breakfast at
'Ohana at the Polynesian features Lilo, Stitch and Mickey Mouse. My son is obsessed with Stitch right now, so this is his favorite.
Most of the character dining is around the same price except for the ones that include photo packages like Cinderella's Royal Table. They are all really fun experiences
Have a magical day!
Leslie
