Welcome to planDisney! How exciting to plan a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! I am always delighted to greet a fellow North Carolinian.
It looks like you should be ok, even if you are the only adult traveling with them. According to the
Walt Disney World Property Rules, Guests under 7-years old must be accompanied by a Guest 14-years or older so your children can technically ride together and you could ride alone. Having said this, kids at the age of yours can be frightened, so keep that in mind. Your little ones may be fiercely adventurous or not.
If you have not done so already, check the
Attractions List to review the height requirements. And, trust me, it is perfectly fine to skip a few attractions that you think they may not be ready to do. When our girls were 7-years old, I let them ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and one of my girls was just barely tall enough to ride. Her ears were badly positioned with the safety restraint and she was miserable for the entire ride. Now, she loves that attraction, but she's taller so that helped!
At their ages, I also encourage you to try a few lesser-known activities. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, I love
The Animation Experience at Conservation Station. Taking the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch is lovely and the entire experience provides a nice way to slow down while in the park. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, our girls also loved doing the
Wilderness Explorers activities.
