Hi Brittony!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a great question! I always find the
Disney Skyliner to be a relaxing and convenient way to travel, so I understand the desire to experience this unique transportation option during your visit.
Brittony, when traveling between
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you have several options available. You can absolutely use Disney's complimentary resort transportation to
take a bus from Animal Kingdom to
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and then hop the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios; however, there are a few things to consider. Caribbean Beach is a large resort property and has several internal bus stops to navigate. For the closest stop to the Skyliner station, you'll want to exit at the Jamaica bus stop and walk the remainder of the way. There is a bus stop at the Skyliner, but that is typically only serviced by internal buses, not those going to or returning from the parks. You can always confirm whether the Skyliner station is a scheduled stop that day with your bus driver. If you want to save the extra steps, you could wait at the Jamaica stop for the next internal bus, but this will add some time to your travel between parks.
Additionally, it's important to note that the Skyliner may experience temporary delays or closures due to inclement weather or unforeseen maintenance issues. Also, the Skyliner is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment from January 25 through January 31, 2026. Buses to Hollywood Studios from Caribbean Beach will be available in the event of a service disruption.
While this plan should work for you, I'd also like to share two other options that might be more efficient if you'd prefer to minimize your travel time. At Animal Kingdom, you'll find bus transportation available that runs directly from that park to Hollywood Studios beginning around 10:00 AM and continuing throughout the day. Another option is to consider a rideshare or
Minnie Van Service (available through the Lyft app) to travel directly between the parks. While rideshare services and Minnie Vans come with an extra cost, they are often the quickest option if you're on a tight schedule.
Brittony, I hope this information has been helpful and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort! My panelist pals,
Lizzie and
Nimmy, shared some great transportation tips on an episode of the
planDisney Podcast, which aired in May 2024, that you may find helpful as you familiarize yourself with transportation options around the resort. You can also find transportation information available during your stay in your
My Disney Experience mobile app. If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
Cheers,
Kristi
