Ahoy, Kathy! Thank you for sailing our way again with another great question.
There’s nothing more magical than receiving Disney Cruise Line mail!
Luggage tags are sent to Guests approximately 60 days before sailing. I have found that they seem to be mailed in batches, depending on where you live. Sometimes our tags have been delayed and are waiting for us after our cruise. If this happens to you, Kathy, you have nothing to worry about. The porters at the dock will have extra luggage tags and will gladly tag your bags.
I do have a few tips I’d love to share before you zip up your suitcases. First, I recommend reviewing the
Prohibited Items list to ensure all your gadgets are shipshape for travel. One commonly confiscated item is extension cords. If you plan to bring a multi-port charger, make sure it plugs directly into an outlet and has USB output ports only. The ship is equipped with standard US plugs, but if your pre-arrival plans include a few nights in England, you will want to pack a power converter. This way, your mobile device is charged and ready to access the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
When you step aboard and connect to the ship’s Wi-Fi, the app transforms and contains many convenient features. You’ll see your personal itinerary, rotational dining details, and a list of the onboard activities scheduled for your voyage. Speaking of entertainment, Mickey's Color Spin Dance Party is new to the Disney Dream on select sailings! This high-energy dance party will indeed have everyone up on their feet “busting a move.” Partygoers are encouraged to dress like their favorite character for the festivities. While entertainment is subject to change, the app will list the current entertainment so that you won’t miss out on any of the fun!
Kathy, I hope you have a magical time with Captains Mickey and Minnie. If you think of anything else as September approaches, please drop us a line. We are delighted to help!
SEAS the adventure!
