Taking 2 boys (3 & 5) for first WDW trip in may. We're between the convenience of Bay Lake Tower to the thematic cars suite at AoA. Which would you recommend or is there something else we should consider? Planning 3 days at MK and 1 day at HS. Thx!!

    Scott:

If money isn't a factor, I'd opt for Bay Lake Tower for two reasons:

    1. I'm betting that you are flying down, rather than driving from New Jersey. Art of Animation is about a 20-minute bus ride away from the Magic Kingdom, not to mention the wait time for the bus. This can take away precious time from the parks, especially if you opt for the recommended nap for children the ages of yours. Bay Lake is a comfortable 7-minute walk to the Magic Kingdom in the morning (3 minutes to the bus stop where you'd be getting off from the ride from AoA...) and a 5-minute monorail ride to return.

    2. The monorail. As much fun as a themed-room is, I bet the boys will remember riding on the monorail just as much or seeing the castle or Bay Lake from their room.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
