Hi we r taking our boys,4 & 3,for first time to WDW at end of this month. We r staying at the Polynesian.Booked room and tkts but couldnt decide if its worth to get dining plan.should I purchase any of dining plans,if yes, which 1?What about garden gro

    Maria:

The Disney Dining Plan doesn't always make "cents" for every family, especially if you have teenagers who will be charged as adults for the plan or families who are not snackers nor big eaters.

However, you fall in the category of a family that would benefit the most from the basic Dining Plan that offers one table service meal, one counter service meal and one snack per person, per night of your stay. If you are considering ANY character dining with your two boys, the dining plan will more than pay for itself with one Character Meal a day.

Keep in mind that if you don't plan on eating at a restaurant that offers Character Dining, for example, Kona Café, your boys would order from the children's menu and, in my opinion, not get the most out of the plan. Paying out of pocket, although not as convenient to some, would be the better avenue in this case.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
