Hi Jody,
My family loves to have a sit-down meal when we visit a theme park. We typically like to book a late lunch, after which we decide if we are going to head for more attractions or instead head back to our resort for some pool time. I suggest that you take a look at the
dining options at Walt Disney World. From this site, you can filter by location to look at the restaurants at each theme park. I will share my family's favorites at each - but your tastes may vary!
At Magic Kingdom, we enjoy the
Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen. This dining location features not only delicious exotically-inspired fare, but it continues the story of the Jungle Cruise. This means that the theme is intricate, and your server may remind you of a jungle skipper - which can make for a very entertaining meal! At Disney's Animal Kingdom, I am torn between two possibilities, so I will mention both! For an elegant meal, try
Tiffins, a newer restaurant that celebrates the spirit of exploring. Another option, although your boys are a little older, if they are game for a character dining experience, head to
Tusker House Restaurant. This buffet features both African-inspired and traditional American fare, and you can meet Donald Duck and his friends in their safari gear. Try
50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This fun meal features classic American comfort food - and servers who act as your family!
Please let us know if you have any further questions, Jody!
