Taking DH for his birthday 8/19-21. Yacht club, only going to Epcot. Where should I request for our standard room to be to be closest to international gateway? 17 days!

    Hi Sarah!

You and your husband must be so excited about your upcoming trip. Seventeen days, you say?  Goodness, you'll be there in no time!  Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a beautiful, stately resort.  I stayed there with a large group of dear friends last December and that resort will always have a special place in my heart.

With regard to your question, I recommend that you request a room near the lobby.  That will place you in close proximity to Epcot's International Gateway and to the dock where you can catch a Friendship Boat to either Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios.  You could certainly walk to either of these theme parks in less than twenty minutes from Disney's Yacht Club Resort.  I think you'll really enjoy being this close to TWO of Disney's amazing theme parks.

Please wish your husband a wonderful birthday from the entire Walt Disney World Moms Panel!  Sending pixie dust to both of you for a truly magical vacation.
