    We're taking our almost 4yo daughter to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and are overwhelmed by all there is to see in do at the party, what are the top picks (things you cannot do on a normal day at the park) that we should put on our "must see" list?

  • Hi Amy ~

    Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) is a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit! You are very wise to focus on the special things for MVMCP and visit another day to do the attractions.

    2014 MVMCP Special Events include:

    * A Frozen Holiday Wish - Queen Elsa and friends transform Cinderella Castle into a stunning ice palace at 6:15 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on the Cinderella Castle Stage - This is a must do. If you are planning to visit the Magic Kingdom on a non-MVMCP evening, it is presented at 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

    * Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade - 8:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. This is a must do.

    * Celebrate the Magic - 9:15 p.m. This is a must do.

    * Holiday Wishes - Celebrate the Spirit of the Season - 9:30 p.m. This is a must do.

    * A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas - 7:45 p.m., 8:45 p.m., 9:55 p.m., 10:50 p.m., and 11:45 p.m.

    * Celebrate the Season - 7:30 p.m., 10:05 p.m., and 11:20 p.m.

    * Special Character Dance Parties - Holiday Hootenanny! at The Diamond Horseshoe and Club Tinsel at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. This is a fun way to get some candid shots of your daughter dancing with the characters.

    * Special Disney Character Appearances - There are some awesome photo opportunities with some characters that make rare appearances in the parks. "Santa Claws" (A.K.A. Jack Skellington) is all new this year appearing in Storybook Circus. The Seven Dwarfs are also very popular. Princess Fairytale Hall of course features Disney Princesses including Anna and Elsa. If there is a must do character for you, you may want to line up as early as 6:15 p.m. or wait until later in the evening.

    * Complimentary Holiday Treats

    * It snows on Main Street U.S.A.

    I would recommend a low key day for your daughter so that she is rested up for MVMCP.

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
