Ahoy, Beth, and welcome to planDisney!
Your
Alaskan adventure awaits! Your
Disney Wonder sailing at the beginning of August is just around the corner. If you are anything like me, you are already
packing for this vacation to the Last Frontier. Waterproof outer layers are key, since you'll never know what the weather will be. It can also vary greatly from ship to shore and from port to port. As you think about what to pack for your nightly
dinner rotation, expect one formal, one semi-formal night, with the others cruise casual attire. Although scheduling is always subject to change, on the day of glacier viewing, the ship will celebrate "Freezing the Night Away" with a themed dinner and deck party (weather permitting). You'll be able to channel your inner Anna and Elsa with the snow-capped mountain as your backdrop.
There are so many unique things to love about sailing to our 49th state, Beth. I always suggest binoculars so you are prepared to get an up-close view of any wildlife from the open decks. The Inside Passage also feels very different than if you've sailed to the Caribbean or Bahamas. I loved sipping a warm beverage from
Cove Café under a cozy blanket (check out the wooden cabinets on the pool decks) while watching all the breathtaking scenery go by. Seeing this part of the country in person is quite spectacular.
We are glad you stopped by for help preparing you for your magical voyage in a few weeks. If you have any other last-minute questions, we are here to assist again. Just let us know.
Have a WONDERful day,
Nancy
