We are taking advantage of the military special (4 days park hopper) through my dad & we are all staying @ shades of green. My question is: with the special park tickets, can I add a dining plan? Is it worth it? We have 3 children. ages 4, 5 & 7.

Hello Rebecca!

You are going to love the Shades of Green Resort. We've stayed there several times, including our honeymoon, and have always had a great experience.

Guests of Shades of Green Resort are not eligible for the Disney Dining Plan. While the resort is on Walt Disney World property, it is not owned by Walt Disney World and, therefore, does not share all of the same benefits as the WDW Resorts do.

However, you will be eligible for Extra Magic Hours! I suggest taking the walk across the street to Disney's Polynesian Resort if you're visiting the parks for Extra Magic Hour mornings. The buses at Shades of Green are tricky at that time of day and we find the walk over to the Polynesian to be very relaxing and a great way to start out our day.
