Howdy, Andrea.
I'm always happy to rustle up an answer for a fellow Texan, so thanks for boot-scooting by planDisney today. In less than two months, you'll be waltzing with 999 Happy Haunts, dropping in for a stay at the Hollywood Tower Hotel, and traveling to galaxies far, far away at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I bet you can’t wait!
With so many variations of
Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets to choose from, I know it can feel overwhelming to choose. Honestly, which ticket best fits your party’s needs depends on the length of your vacation. While I love Park Hopping, I recommend buying the base ticket that gains you access to one theme park per day for shorter trips. This saves precious time you would otherwise spend traveling from one park to another and allows you to really soak in all that each park has to offer.
If, however, you will be on your magical vacation for a longer period of time, I think it’s best to go with a theme park ticket with the
Park Hopper Option added on for the most flexibility. This allows you to Park Hop from one park to another when you want to take advantage of their longer park hours in the evenings or leave a park if it’s feeling too crowded and the attraction wait times are lower elsewhere. You won’t feel as pressured to “pack it all in” at a park within a single day this way, and the ability to move from park to park is always nice. Regardless of which theme park ticket option you choose, get to the parks at least an hour before their official opening time, and take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry if you will be a Guest at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
I’ve found the best place to purchase theme park tickets is directly from the
Walt Disney World Resort website. While there typically aren’t discounts on theme park tickets, there are
Special Offers from time to time that can help you save a little on your Disney Resort hotel reservation to help balance the cost.
Andrea, I hope this information helps. If you have further questions, please stop back by planDisney and let me lasso up another answer for you.
Happy trails to you,
Alyssa
