I have taken my kids to Disney World when they were toddlers and preschoolers and have had many character dinners and experiences that we loved. Now my kids are teenagers. What special experiences are there for kids in the 13 to 15 year old range?

    Hello Sandy,

The wonderful thing about Walt Disney World is that there are fun and exciting things to do no matter what the age. I am glad to hear that you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation with teenagers in mind. Using the link I just provided, you can see sample itineraries and links to other experiences that are perfect for older kids.

I would also like to recommend some of my favorite activities that my oldest son, now a tween, loves. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is an interactive game that involves special trading cards throughout the Magic Kingdom. Save the theme park from those menacing villains, while exploring the park in between attractions.

Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Star Wars Launch Bay is the ultimate destination for Star Wars fans with props and costumes from the movie series. You can meet Kylo Ren and Chewbacca in an amazing character meet and greet. I felt like I was meeting them right on the movie set. In addition there is the March of the First Order each day at select times. So, be sure to check a times guide for that day.

If Disney Springs is your destination and you teens are thrill seekers, I highly recommend Characters in Flight - Operated by Aerophile. This tethered balloon soars high above Disney Springs offering a one-of-a-kind bird's eye view of the theme parks.

I hope this helps in your quest for some special experiences for your teens.
