Hi Joe!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR. I'm happy to be your planEAR today!
You are asking about one of my favorite subjects, Disney Dining! I like to say that Disneyland has so many great eats, sweets, and treats that it should be called an
Eat Park, too! I agree with you that the
Kosher Dining Options page is a bit vague, so like Princess Tiana, I had to dig a little deeper. Your best bets for
Quick-Service meals will be Smokejumpers Grill in Disney California Adventure Park as well as Galactic Grill in Disneyland Park. You'll need to place your order with a Cast Member instead of using the Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering option in your Disneyland Mobile App, but do know that when you get to each location you can head straight to the front (either to the Cast Member working the cash register or to one of the Cast Members working the pick-up area) and request to see a Kosher menu so you can go over your options as you stand in the ordering queue. I can't say for sure what your options will be at the time of your visit but I've seen a lot of other Guests comment about their quick service options being burgers, chicken strips, chicken nuggets, and even a salad. In the pre-pandemic days Rancho del Zocalo in Disneyland Park also had a few Kosher options; I have yet to confirm if these are back, but it wouldn't hurt stopping by and asking a Cast Member at that location if they can assist.
Your best for
Table-Service locations in Disneyland Park will be Cafe Orleans, Blue Bayou Restaurant, and *Plaza Inn (*for the Character Breakfast Buffet), as well as Wine Country Trattoria in Disney California Adventure Park. Goofy's Kitchen, Napa Rose, Steakhouse 55, and Storytellers Cafe are also able to accommodate your requirement, but do note that these four are located in either the Disneyland Hotel or Disney's Grand Californian Grill & Spa. It looks like your options at all of these might include lasagna, chicken, soup, brisket, or a salmon. To ensure you get Kosher meals, you must notate your request
when you make the dining reservations. It also doesn't hurt to mention to the host/hostess that you made the request when you check-in for each meal. And don't forget to make your dining reservations sooner rather than later as reservations open for booking 60 days in advance and the most popular locations do fill up quickly.
Did you know that you're allowed to bring in your own food, snacks, and beverages through security and into the parks with you? There's even a beautiful
Picnic Area in The Esplanade between Disneyland Park and Downtown Disney with
rentable lockers. There are a few rules, of course, which are that glass containers and outside alcohol are not permitted. If you're going to bring a cooler it must be smaller than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high, and there can't be any loose ice. (You can, however, put ice in a zipped baggie to keep things cool.) There also isn't a way to heat anything.
I hope that this helped to solidify your dining plans, Joe. Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
