At a table service restaurant, can a quick serve meal be used if you only want to order a dessert. No meal, just dessert?

    Hi Brenda,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

The way that Disney Dining Plan entitlements work is based on the type of restaurant that you’re visiting. Quick-Service locations allow you to use your quick-service and/or snack entitlements and Table-Service restaurants allow you to use your table-service entitlements. In your case, the fact that you’re only ordering dessert at a table-service restaurant means that you’ll still have to use one of your table-service entitlements, even though you won’t be ordering a main course. What I would recommend in that case would be to pay for your dessert “out of pocket”, that way you can buy your cake and eat it too!

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
