On the table service dinning plan If I choose to have a alcoholic beverage with my meal at buffet type restaurant that offers refills on soft drinks, once I have my alcoholic beverage can I have a refillable soft drink included or would I pay extra?

    Hi Katie,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question about all your beverage options while you are dining at the Walt Disney World resort.

At most of the all-you-care-to-eat buffets and other prix fixe meals, soft drinks, tea and coffee are included in the set price, even if you are using the Disney Dining Plan to cover the cost of your meal. You are entitled to that included beverage at any time throughout your meal, even if you added an alcoholic beverage for an extra cost.

I like to have plenty of beverage options available during my meals. At Boma recently, I ordered a glass of water, iced tea and a cocktail all at the same time to enjoy during my meal. My husband usually has a beer with his meal, then orders his included coffee with dessert. It's totally up to you.

If you are interested in buffet dining, I always recommend Boma. It's one of my family's favorites. We're also fans of Biergarten in the Germany pavilion at Epcot. If you are looking for a quintessential American Thanksgiving lunch or dinner, you may be interested in the family-style fare at Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom.

And, of course, you have lots of options for character dining buffets, including the iconic Chef Mickey's.

Please remember that you can make dining reservations 60 days in advance. If you are staying in a Walt Disney World resort, you can make reservations for your entire stay (up to a 10-night stay) at that 60-day point.

Part of the fun of a Walt Disney World vacation is planning your dining, Katie. Have a great time dreaming of all the meals, snacks, drinks and experiences you have ahead of you at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
