Welcome to planDisney, Alyssa. I'm so happy you found us.
The Rainforest Cafe, like the
Walt Disney World Resort itself, is such an immersive and fun experience. The animatronics, the decor, and the thunderstorms all make you feel like you're dining in the Amazon. It's bound to put a smile on the face of each Guest dining there! And now that you've brought this dessert option to my attention, my curiosity is piqued.
I chatted with a very friendly Cast Member who did some research for me but could not find a definitive answer to your question. You see, offerings often change, and like you, I found information around the internet stating that it requires 3 Guests using an allotted table-service meal to order this dessert, but that information is from before the return of the
dining plans this year. When you arrive at the restaurant, you'll want to check with your server about whether this delicious option is part of the
Disney Dining Plan and how many people would need to order it for it to be covered. I will say that since it is noted as being for 4, it is entirely possible that 4 people would need to order it as part of their meal, but the Cast Member would be able to tell you specifically. If it turns out to not be included or you need more people to order it with a dining plan, you are welcome to simply pay with cash for this treat.
My absolute favorite desserts at the resort have to be from
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at
Disney's Beach Club Resort. Those sundaes are to die for and the No Way José is on my list for my upcoming July visit! And then there's
Karamell-Küche in
EPCOT. Do I know how to pronounce this caramel-centric, drool-inducing shop? No. Do I pronounce it differently each time I say it? You better believe it. But is everything here exquisite and delicious, especially the butter bars? Absolutely. For me, redeeming a snack here from my dining plan allotment is where it's at! And you can even use the
Mobile Order option here too. Score!
Alyssa, I wish you the best meals and desserts on your upcoming vacation. Be sure to
reach out again with any other questions.
We are all stories in the end so make it a good one,
Matt
