Hiya Glenda,
Welcome to planDisney! You have stumbled upon one of my favorite topics: dining! Even if I am only stopping by for the day, I always have a dining reservation (or a carefully crafted snack/quick service plan) for my trip. My Prince Charming and I have a goal to try every dining location on the property, and we are having a blast working toward it.
So let’s chat about the dining plan, Glenda. I love character dining, so we always get the
Disney Dining Plan, so I can understand wanting to use the credits interchangeably. Unfortunately, the current
dining plans do not allow you to use quick-service meals in place of table-service meals, or vice versa. You also cannot use meal credits for snacks. If you want both table service and quick service, you will want to purchase the Disney Dining Plan; this will give you 1 table service, 1 quick service, and 1 snack credit per person per day (along with 1 resort refillable mug per person).
I hope this was helpful, Glenda. Before I let you go, I’m not sure when your visit is planned for, but if it is during one of
EPCOT’s festivals, be sure to save some of your snack credits. Don’t get me wrong, I love Mickey Pretzels and the classic treats, but one of my favorite uses of a snack credit is the Outdoor Kitchens and festival booths. Since dining credits don’t expire until midnight the day you check out, I find that is when I use my snack credits the most. It helps the re-entry into non-magical life sting less when I have a magical treat from the Most Magical Place on Earth in my carry-on. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
